Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-15
The Gbarbea, Uso, Outland and Washington family announces with deep sadness, but with gratitude to Almighty God, the home-going of our mother, sister, aunt, and cousin Mrs. Florence O. Uso-Gbarbea. The Lord called Florence home from labor to rest in Sacramento, California on Thursday, September 22, 2022, after a period of illness.
Florence was predeceased by her parents, T. Douglas Uso and Phebe Outland-Uso, and her son, Bokey Gbarbea. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, J.Y. Gbarbea, daughters, Monuta, Georgia Barwuh Jallah, and Hettie; siblings, Joseph Graham, Jeanette Uso-Obetsebi Lamptey, Godwin Alvin (Shanna), Shirley and Precious; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives.
