The Mayson/Addy/Ledlum and Williams families regrettably announce the home-going of our mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Aunty and Cousin Charlotte B Mayson. This sad event occurred on Friday, July 22, 2022 at the ELWA hospital In Monrovia Liberia
Charlotte was born April 28, 1921 to Gofa and Robert Mayson both of whom predeceased her. She was the 2nd sibling of 6; all of whom predeceased her.
Charlotte worked with the Liberian National Police force for many years where she served as a caregiver until she relocated to USA.
Charlotte leaves to mourn her loss 12 children; D. Eric Ledlum, Lydia Williams, Kofi Addy(Geh), Clara K. Addy, Ante J. Addy(Taywah), Akortey Aquacious Addy(Mariama), H. Kwaku Addy, Efua Joan Addy, Sarah Addy, Tettie Augustine Addy (Mae), Akorteh A Addy(Amelia) and Mathew Addy. 50+ grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins in Liberia/Europe and the USA.
Our beloved mother was a staunched disciplinarian who loved her children equally. The void that she leaves is immeasurable. Though she is terribly missed, we are grateful to God for giving her to us for over 100 years. We celebrate and honor God for this immense blessing. Mama’s homegoing celebrations is as follows:
Wake: September 16, 2022 at 5-9 PM at Eliza Turner Memorial AME Church
Internment: Kaiser Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Brewerville, Liberia
Repass: Crystal Ballroom. Curtis Compound at Brewerville Store Junction
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Minnesota USA in continuation of honoring her life and legacy.

You all were blessed to see your mother lived as long as she did…..she left a legacy for all to follow who came in contact during our childhood n adult life.. she was one hell of a cat. Mama took no mess, she will miss, but saw it was time to take her rest because her time with us was done.
Take courage my brother and the good lord will guide you all doing these times.
