The Baker and Dunbar families announce the untimely passing of our beloved Christian E. W. Baker, Jr. Christian, affectionately known as “Chrisie” passed on July 5th with family at his side and his sense of humor and wit still intact and very active. Christian leaves behind a host of very broken-hearted children, siblings, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
VISITATION:
Friday, July 22, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 907 Church Street Ext NW, Marietta, GA 30060.
FUNERAL and Repass:
Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11 a.m., with public viewing at 10:30 a.m., at International Christian Fellowship (ICF), located at 461 School Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30354. Repass immediately following.

I’m proud to say Chrisie was my cousin, he had a lot in common with my beloved father: I don’t recall ever seeing him angry, he loved music, motorbikes & fun, he was popular, unconventional, likeable, down to earth, good-natured and knew his trade when it came to machines. He had much in common with my father.

It is very sad and deeply troubling to hear of the transitioning of a long time friend and confidant. We went down many roads together – too many to touch upon. Aw man, “Rooster!” You left us too soon and left us with too many unanswered questions, my man. Wow! This life is soooo unpredictable and uncertain. Your passing tells us, we may think we have time on our side but that’s not true at all. Now, we must prepare ourselves for the great reunion on that great gettin’ up morning. Thanks for the heartwarming remembrances, bruh! Unforgettable! We shall meet again. May your soul rest in eternal peace and may life perpetual continuously shine upon you, my dear friend and brother. I remembered us growing up together, going to elementary school, playing basketball at your parents home, riding motorcycles together. This news hit me hard. Wow, I just found out that Christian is no longer with us. What a loss!!! We had such an incredible time growing up together on Ricks Institute campus. I am shocked and will reach out to family members over the weekend. May his soul Rest In Peace.
