With Heavy hearts, the David, Kollie, Bryant and Nimely’s families regret to announce the glorious homegoing of our beloved and cherished mother, Aunt, grandmother, and women’s leader mother Famatta Gema David. This sad event occurred on February 27, 2023 in Auburn, Georgia, USA.
Mother Famatta David was commonly called Ma Famatta. She was born on November 24, 1944, unto the union of Mr. Joshua David and Mrs. Jenneh David in Arthington, Montserrado County, Liberia both of whom predeceased her.
Mother Famatta G. David is the senior sister of the late Robert Molly David, former Soccer legend of Mighty Barolle Football club. Mother Famatta David was also predeceased by the following siblings Mrs. Mary David Zeon, Ms. Viola G. David, Ms. Annie Musu David, Mr. Paul David, Mr. Robert M. David, William David, Mr. Samuel David, and Mr. Joseph David Hills.
Mother Famatta G. David leaves to mourn her loss, 9 children Mrs. Cecelia Kollie Wulah, Mr. Albert F. Kollie, Mr. Henry S. Kollie Jr, Mr. Francis Kollie, Pastor Victor B. Kollie, Mr. Ernest Bryant, Ms. Miatta Bryant, Mr. Ralph R. Nimely, Mrs. Margaret Nimely Cooper, 20 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mother Famatta G, David is also survived by the following sibling Rev Rebecca Mamo David, Mrs. Getrude David Nagbe, Mr. Washington B. David, Mr. Sinshu David, Mrs, Jenneh David Digler, Ms. Matu David and Mr. Roland M. David. She leaves to mourn her Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Other relatives, and friends in the United States and Liberia respectively. May your soul and the souls of all other who have departed rest in perfect peace until we meet again in heaven in Jesus’s Name. AMEN.
