It is with profound sadness that the Coleman, Knuckles and Atuanya families announce the homegoing of Mrs. Etta Coleman-Atuanya, a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunty, niece, and cousin to many. This unfortunate event occurred on August 9, 2022, in Cummings, Georgia, USA.
Teta Dee, as she was affectionately called, was predeceased by her parents, Rev. George C. Coleman and Ms. Mary-Ann Knuckles, her husband, Ceasar Atuanya, her brother, George C. Coleman II (Wilhelmina), her sister, Jestina Coleman-Wright and husband Johnny Wright, and her son, Steven Gibson.
She leaves to mourn her loss:
-Her children: Oretha Mason (Rosler), Helena Erskine (Obrien, deceased), Helen Gibson-Newman (Jerome Sr.), Elizabeth Coleman, Larvon Birch (Sam), Joseph Gibson (Idong), Richard Lepolu (Ayo), Chata Atuanya, Jarvon, aka Jewel Gibson-Revas (Edwin), Afana Atuanya (Johnette), Afam Atuanya (Joyce).
-Her grandchildren: Rosler (aka Cookie) Mason Jr, Jermaine Gibson, Samlaree Birch, Rosrita Mason, Samiliar Kekele Birch, Jerome Newman Jr, U’Dinin Erskine, Lafam Atuanya, Klon Erskine, Roshell Mason, Iviola Newman, Joseph Gibson III (JT), Gideon Boakai, Jeremiah Atuanya, Haley Atuanya, Richard Isaac Lepolu Jr, and Elijah Atuanya. One great grandchild: Harmony Gibson.
-Her brothers and sisters: James Coleman (Mariette, deceased), Dr. Albert Coleman (Magdalene), and Dr. Ciyata Coleman, and a host of other relatives and friends in Liberia, Europe, and the United States.
-Her two senior loving aunts: Mrs. Roberta Knuckles-Kiawu, Mrs. Johnetta Knuckles, and her uncle, Mr. James A. Kiawu
