The Oberly, Gleh, Johnson, Matthews, and Gboluma announce with tremendous sorrow and humbling acceptance of God’s will, the homegoing of our dear daughter, mother, sister, aunty, and friend, Ms. Lorpu Mawoelo Matthews. Lorpu transitioned on the morning of Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
She leaves to cherish her memories, celebrate her life, and legacy, her mother, Jegbo Gleh Gboluma, her children, Maggie Korpo Oberly, Eleatria Annette Odom, Marva Garmai Matthews, and George Benjamin Moses Weekes, and her siblings, M. Yassah Gboluma Akwarandu, Emmanuel Gboluma, Christopher Oberly, Irene Gboluma-Dennis, and Love Garmai Johnson.
Lorpu is predeceased by her father Mr. Cornelius K. Oberly and her brother Moses Gboluma
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in perfect peace until that great resurrection morning.
